An invitation to be with fellow Play and Creative Arts therapists to revisit and reflect on the toolkit we offer our young clients on a Wednesday evening in January and March 2023.
Two other workshops have been postponed to 2024.
My Play and Presence in the Therapeutic Space
We will collaboratively inquire and compassionately reflect on our personal play histories and how we maintain presence in the playroom as we witness our client’s process.

Reflecting on a Client's Therapeutic Journey
We will reflect on our client's journey to congruence. We will look at ways in which we will review our client's therapeutic experience to self-actualization and how we advocate for them in parent/ guardian meetings and/or multi-disciplinary team meetings.

Closures: The Ending of a Therapeutic Journey POSTPONED TO 2024
We will compassionately reflect and examine how we close a therapeutic episode with a client and their families to ensure that the client has the resiliency to move on and how we practice self-care during this vulnerable period of closure.

Revisiting the Therapeutic Story POSTPONED TO 2024
We will revisit writing a therapeutic story and when it may be appropriate that a client creates their own therapeutic story. We will also look at the difference between a therapeutic story and a social story, and how to write a social story that is grounded in Axline Principles.
